Book Buying FAQ
  • 1 When will my item be dispatched?

    • Orders are usually dispatched next day with the exception of weekends. To view your order’s status please log into your Fatbrain account and follow the instructions below.

      1. Go to www.fatbrain.co.uk
      2. Click “My Account (Log In)” This is located at the top right corner of the web page.
      3. Enter your email address and password then log in.
      4. Once logged in you will be automatically redirected to your Account Home page - Please click “Complete Order History” Which is highlighted in green.

      You will now see your order’s status in the far right hand column. If you wish for more information about the order you can click the order number highlighted in green text and this will provide you with additional information about the order.

  • 2 When will I receive my item?

    • Orders are usually dispatched next day with the exception of weekends.

      If your order was dispatched with Standard Delivery, the estimated delivery time frame is 2-5 working days.

      If your order was dispatched with Express/Priority Delivery, the estimated delivery time frame is Next Day with the exception of weekends.

  • 3 How do I cancel an order?

    • If you wish to cancel your order please inform us as soon as possible.

      Once your order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel your order, we advise for all customers who wish to cancel an order to contact us within 6 hours of placing the order.

      If your order can not be cancelled you may request to have the item returned by contacting us or using the return function on your Fatbrain account.

  • 4 How do I return an item?

    • When returning an item you will need to use the return function on your Fatbrain account.

      We will accept any return requests within 30 days of the item being dispatched, after this period we can not gurantee your return request will be accepted.

      Depending on the nature of your return we will either provide you with our return address or a free post return label.

      Pleae note Fatbrain will not be held responsible for a return item going missing in the post (unless the customer has used a free post return label provided by Fatbrain), we advise for all our customers to use a tracked service when returning items.

  • 5 When will I receive a refund for my return item?

    • Once your return order has arrived at our warehouse we will process the refund same day and send a confirmation email to inform you that we have received the return item.

      The refund will be transfered back onto the same card the item was originally purchased with.

      Please note the funds will not appear on the account same day and may take up to 5 working days for the funds to be visable in the account.

  • 7 What payment types do you accept?

    • Currently Fatbrain will only accept card payment methods which have been processed online through Fatbrain.co.uk

      We do not accept cheques, cash upon delivery or bank transfers.

  • 8 What countries do you deliver to?

    • At present we can only ship items to the UK.
  • 9 I can not log into my account.

    • If you are unable to log into your Fatbrain account please contact us.

      A member of staff will investigate the situation and aim to resolve the problem straight away if possible.

  • 10 Can I place an order over the phone?

    • Unfortunately we are unable to take orders over the phone. We can only accept orders which have been processed online through Fatbrain.co.uk.
